Sheffield Christmas Market, 19 November - 24 December 2016

Specialist wooden cabins stocked with a host of goodies readily line the streets - with fantastic choice available on sweets, treats and craft products. Decorative gifts and handmade trinkets are always in plentiful supply too, so you'll have lots of inspiration for some spontaneous purchases.

Christkindelmarkt, Leeds, 11 November - 18 December 2016

This is one of the most established German Christmas Markets in the UK, with traditional wooden stalls, festive greenery, Christmas carousel rides and twinkling colourful lights all creating a unique continental style festive atmosphere in the heart of Leeds city centre. Set in the stylish civic setting of the award winning Millennium Square, Christkindelmarkt attracts many hundred thousands of visitors to Leeds each year and forms an integral part of the city's annual events programme.

The Moors National Park Centre Christmas Fair, 19 and 20 November 2016

Celebrating the very best of local arts, country crafts and seasonal gifts, from jewellery, and ceramics to tree decorations, scented soaps and handmade chocolates. There's also a visit from Santa, traditional music and children's craft-making activities. Drop in any time

Harrogate Christmas Market, 17-20 November 2016

Held on The Stray in the historic Montpellier Quarter of Harrogate town centre, this four-day festive market will be filled with high quality Yorkshire and Harrogate products. This year it is expected to have nearly 200 stalls selling everything from Yorkshire cheeses and chutneys to handmade gifts and Christmas decorations. Not forgetting Santa's Grotto and real reindeer!

St Nicholas Fayre, York, 17 November - 23 December 2016

The Festive First Night takes place on 17 November and is the launch of the festivities in York that will see the official opening of the St Nicholas Fair, the lights switched on and late night shopping begin. From this date right up to 23 December, over 100 snug chalets with twinkling fairy lights will shine out from their positions along Parliament Street, St Sampson's Square and at new sites such as The Judge's Lodging and Coppergate, selling inspired gift ideas and stocking fillers.

Whitby Christmas Festival, 18-20 November 2016

The Whitby Christmas Festival will get everyone into the seaside Christmas spirit! Lots of local and independent businesses get involved to create a wonderful, entertaining and festive-filled atmosphere. The festival will yet again feature Whitby's iconic beach huts, forming the towns very own version of traditional German market huts.

Christmas Craft and Second Hand Book Fair, Nostell Priory 26 and 27 November 2016

Kick off the festive season with a spot of Christmas shopping, choosing from handcrafted ceramics, prints, textiles, cards, decorations and more. Don't miss the second-hand book shop to stock up your festive reading pile.

The Scampston Christmas Market, Malton, 27 November 2016

Spend an exceptionally festive Sunday at Scampston and get ahead of the game on your Christmas shopping! The Conservatory will be transformed into a magical winter wonderland, with a number of local stall holders and food producers offering a huge range of gifts and delicious delicacies. Food lovers will surely to tempted to try the Christmas crepes or warming mulled wine. Gifts will range from pocket money prices through to bespoke craft items.

Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair, Harrogate, 1-4 December 2016

The Country Living Christmas Fair is a festive occasion where the pages of the magazine come to life! The show marks the start to the joyous season where you will find handpicked exhibitors who are artists, crafters and designers. Spend a day finding unique gifts, handmade decorations, beautiful homeware, and artisan food. There are also organic beauty products, one off pieces of jewellery and fashionable winter wear for those who want something special.

Christmas Craft and Food Fair, Sledmere House, 2-4 December 2016

The twelfth annual Christmas Craft and Food Fair features over 100 stalls selling crafts, gifts, decorations and food for the festive period. Visitors are welcome to walk in the gardens (not normally open to the public during winter.) Children can visit Father Christmas in his magical Grotto and the whole family can enjoy a tractor and trailer trip to the deer park. Please note, these attractions are available Sat & Sun only.

Whitby Winterfest, 2-4 December 2016

Up and Down T'Street in Sowerby Bridge - 3 December 2016

The traders of Sowerby Bridge are delighted to bring you Christmas! On Saturday 3rd December there will be a huge variety of events and entertainment happening in our lovely town. All the street entertainment is free with thanks to funding from Calderdale Council. In addition our traders have created lots of special offers for you to take advantage of the majority of which are also free.

Rainbow Factory Enchanted Christmas Market, 3 and 4 December 2016

We're expecting around 90 stallholders over the two days, selling Christmas Eve boxes, handmade goods and even a photographer in a campervan - all the goodies and gifts you'll need for a very merry Christmas! Of course we'll be giving the event a sprinkling of Rainbow Factory magic, with children's entertainment including a visit from Frozen's Elsa and Anna, Fairy Tale Bingo and a Fairy Tale Quiz with our very own Christmas Fairy, plus festive storytelling. We may even treat you to a festive choir.

This Years Event will once again see plenty of free festive entertainment! This year you will be treated to the spectacle of Camels and the 3 kings! There will be two parades and the camels and kings will be there for you to meet.

Otley Victorian Fayre & Christmas Market, 4 December 2016

Otley Victorian Fayre has been running for many years. This is now a truly family day out with upwards of 17,000 people attending this fabulous, free event. On the pedestrianized streets you will see a wide variety of stalls offering gifts, food and the chance to help local charities and good causes. The indoor areas in The Black Horse Stable Yard and The Old Grammar School sell only hand crafted items. Don't miss the donkey rides and their greatest attraction, Santa's reindeer!

Richmond Town Christmas Market, 4 December 2016

Free event for all ages. Visit Father Christmas enjoy the super gift, craft and food/beverage stands, Chic Vintique Fair, Angel Trail, etc. With over 50 trade stands, live music, entertainment throughout the day, fabulous sparkly trees, children's crafts, story time, and loads more, this should be a great day out!

Skipton Yuletide Festival & Christmas Market, 4 and 11 December 2016

The 'Gateway to the Dales' brings you Skipton's famous Yuletide Festival and market, which is celebrating its 22nd Anniversary this year. Gifts & Grub Christmas Fair at Wentworth Woodhouse, 10 and 11 December 2016

This event will be a huge Christmas Fair in the historic and beautiful Wentworth Woodhouse. The Fair will feature over 120 stalls inside & out! Visitors will find amazing stalls selling wonderful Christmas gifts and crafts, along with tasty treats and delicious food & drink! Entertainment will be provided in the form of Donkey rides, a fairground and even a visit from the great man himself - Father Christmas! Music will be provided by Dinnington Brass Band, playing some festive tunes to entertain the crowds!

Beverley Festival of Christmas, 11 December 2016

The Beverley's Festival of Christmas is one of the largest Festival's of its kind in Yorkshire and one of the largest one day Christmas Festival's in the UK! This Victorian Christmas Market has over 100 festive stalls, selling a wide variety of handcrafted products, from Jewellery to Gin - the majority of which is made within the East Riding. The historic market town of Beverley is the perfect setting for the traditional victorian fairground and a wealth of musical groups and entertainers performing throughout the Festival.

A Winter Wonderland Christmas Fair at Tennants Garden Rooms, Leyburn, 9 and 10 December 2016
