In December between 2nd-4th, The Black Swan Hotel, Helmsley will host its annual skating event, with pop-up ice rink and outdoor food and drink stalls, overlooking Helmsley's historic market place and heralding the start of the festive season in this pretty North Yorkshire Market town. The festive-themed ice rink is a generous size (12m squared) and can accommodate up to 50 skaters at one time, with its smart white picket fence and brightly-lit Christmas trees surrounding it, is truly spectacular and suited to adults and children alike, resident and non-residents.
